Allfast Fastening Systems was honored to receive the 2008 Hardware Supplier of the Year from Embraer. Here are the details from the event:

Sao Jose dos Campos, November 12, 2008 – Embraer honored its “Suppliers of the Year 2008” in a ceremony held last Tuesday evening, November 11. The awards were presented at the end of the tenth Embraer Suppliers Conference (ESC), November 10-11, in the city of Campinas, Brazil. The Company also commemorated ESC’s tenth anniversary, at the event.
The objective of the theme, “Lean manufacturing as a competitiveness tool”, was to integrate suppliers, with a focus on global improvement and performance, quality, product confidence, and customer satisfaction. Presentations were made at the event by Embraer executives who are involved in a variety of programs and activities in both strategic and operational areas.

Present at the encounter were Embraer’s President & CEO, Frederico Fleury Curado, and the CEO of Eagle Creek Aviation Service, Matt Hagans, who is an Embraer business aviation customer and was invited by the Company to be a speaker at this year’s event.
“In the aviation segment, the exchange of operating experiences is an important tool for increasing production gains,” Hagans said. “Getting suppliers together and awarding them, as Embraer has been doing for several years, is a way of becoming familiar with new processes, avoiding waste, and, thus, ensuring competitiveness.”

This award is Embraer’s recognition of the progress of its suppliers, in terms of the improved quality and efficiency of the products and services they provide, as well as the support they give to commercial and executive aviation.
